How to fix IPTV buffering and freezing: 7 checks that work

Seven practical checks to remove buffering from your IPTV stream: network, device, DNS, Wi-Fi band, app settings and more.

1. Test your connection

Run a speed test on the same device you watch on. You need roughly 15 Mbit/s for HD and 30 Mbit/s for 4K, and the number should stay steady.

2. Use a cable

Ethernet is almost always more stable than Wi-Fi. If you must use Wi-Fi, choose the 5 GHz band.

3. Restart everything

Power-cycle the router, the TV or box and the app. It solves more problems than people expect.

4. Change DNS

Switching your router or device DNS to a public resolver can improve routing on some providers.

5. Update the app

Old player versions can have decoding bugs. Update to the latest version, or try another player.

6. Lower the quality for a moment

If the network is busy in the evening, pick the HD version of a channel instead of 4K.

7. Ask us

Send us the channel and the time it happened on WhatsApp. We check and help straight away.
