Why a streaming box helps
Many older Smart TVs have slow processors and stop receiving updates. A Fire TV Stick 4K or an Android TV box is faster, updated regularly and supports a wider choice of apps.
Fire TV Stick
- Search for a player in the Amazon Appstore.
- If it is not listed, install the Downloader app and use it to fetch the player's installation file from the developer's official site.
- Open the player and enter the details we send you.
Android TV and Google TV
- Open Google Play on the TV or box.
- Search for an IPTV player and install it.
- Enter your login, wait for the channel list and press play.
Boxes from Nvidia, Xiaomi, Sony, Philips and others are all good options for 4K.
Tips for 4K
- Use Ethernet where you can.
- Keep at least 30 Mbit/s free for each 4K stream.
- Restart the box once a week to keep it responsive.
