Start with the player
Most IPTV player apps include a parental PIN. Turn it on in the settings and choose a code your children cannot guess.
Lock or hide categories
- Lock adult categories behind the PIN.
- Hide channels you never watch to keep the guide tidy.
- Create a favourites list for children with only suitable channels.
Use the device's own controls
Smart TVs, Fire TV, Apple TV and Android devices all have system-level restrictions. Use them to limit which apps children can open and when.
Agree household rules
- Decide viewing times together.
- Keep the TV in a shared room where possible.
- Talk about what to do if they see something upsetting.
